Introduction
I am an associate professor of Rhetoric and Language at the University of San Francisco (USF). I received my PhD in English Rhetoric and Composition from the University of Louisville. My research focuses on cross-language and transcultural literacy practices of Bhutanese refugees in the U.S. More specifically, my study area is based on literacy and language practices of linguistically and culturally diverse communities in the U.S.; new media and digital writing; postcolonial rhetorics; transnational and intercultural communication; and translingual composition. I teach courses, such as intro to composition, and written communication to undergrad students, and cross-cultural business communication, and global rhetorics to grad students at the University of San Francisco. My research and teaching projects are designed to help linguistically and culturally diverse students navigate their ways to success in academic writing and transition to universities and colleges from their respective locations both within and outside the U.S.
